Tour – Half Day
The
tour commences with a drive through the suburbs of Green Point and Sea
Point to the popular Atlantic beaches of
Clifton
and Camp’s Bay. Then it’s a scenic drive up to the mountainside to Signal
Hill, which affords a magnificent view of the city,

and the surrounding areas. Continue toward the Cable way station, to
take the cable car up

. (Weather permitting and for own account) On the return, venture
back into town to the

Museum
. After spending some time in
the museum, wander through the

Gardens
and visit the historic “Bo-Kaap”

Cape Point and Peninsular Tour – Full Day
The
tour follows the beautiful Atlantic ocean‘s coastline from Sea Point,
past the popular beaches of
Clifton
and Camp’s Bay to
Hout
Bay
. Enjoy a thirty minute boat
cruise to
Seal
Island
to observe the
Cape
Seals
in large numbers.
The
trip continues via the scenic Chapman’s Peak towards the Cape
of Good Hope Nature Reserve. First visit the
Cape of Good Hope
, and then ride the funicular
to the summit of Cape Point with its breath taking views. After
an optional lunch (for your own account), continue with the trip towards
Simon’s Town to visit the African
Penguin colony at
Boulder
’s beach.
Continue
along the sleepy shores of False Bay past the villages of Fish Hoek and

Whale watching, Hermanus & Overberg– Full Day
Although
most famous for its shore-based
whale watching which takes place between June and November, the
breathtaking scenery of the drive to Hermanus makes a memorable
experience at any time of year. We firstly travel along the
False Bay
coastal road (
Clarence Drive
) through quaint villages and towns until reaching Betty’s Bay.
Here guests can visit the magnificent
Harold
Porter
Botanical Gardens
or the African Penguin colony
at Stoney Point.
We
continue our journey to Hermanus,
a picturesque fishing village on the shores of
Walker
Bay
.
After
an optional lunch (for your own account), the return journey takes you
through a landscape of rugged mountain scenery, pine forests and
orchards of apple trees before descending along Sir
Lowry’s Pass towards Cape Town. Return to your hotel in the

The scenic West Coast – Full Day
Travelling
northwards from
Cape Town
, the first stop will be the West
Coast Ostrich Farm. Guest will be given an insight into the life
cycle and breeding habits of these fascinating birds. The journey
continues through unspoilt countryside to the beautiful Langebaan
Lagoon. After an optional lunch (for your own account), we travel

, a haven for bird-watchers, and a wide variety of plant and flower

Table

Houtbay and Kirstenbosch (Full Day)
Our
tour takes us directly to the lower
Table
Mountain
cable car station from where you ascend to the summit of the mountain
(weather permitting and cable car entrance fee for your own account).
After an hour or so of enjoying the sights and sounds of this
magnificent mountain, we return to the lower cable car station again. If
the mountain is closed (usually due to adverse weather conditions or
possible maintenance) we visit Signal Hill for a short stop before we
continue via the Atlantic seaboard to the busy fishing
port
of
Houtbay
. Enjoy a boat cruise to the famous
Dyker
Seal
Island
to view the masses of seals living on the island.
Duration: 45 minutes. Time is the set aside for a lovely seafood
lunch in Houtbay (For your own account).
After
lunch we depart for Kirstenbosch. It is internationally acclaimed as one
of the seven most magnificent botanical gardens in the world, and is
located on the slopes of
Table
Mountain
. This scenic drive towards Kirstenbosch will take us past the suburbs
of Constantia and Newlands.
Enjoy
walking through these beautiful gardens, which boasts 528 hectares of
indigenous flora, 36 of which makes up the central landscaped garden.
You
may alternatively wish to visit one of the famous and oldest wine farms
in the Constantia valley, located close by to sample and enjoy prise
winning wines still produced today.
